Sandwiches, and a game for the off-season
July 27th, 2026- ›New game under the Puzzle tab: Time Turns Elastic. A mystery show from 43 years of Phish, and you're told how big it was and either where it happened or when - never both. Name five songs, and the date is what you get for committing.
- ›One ranked show a day for the whole room, with a leaderboard, plus unlimited practice deals that aren't scored or saved. Your top pick is worth 5 points down to 1 for your fifth, and calling something that had been shelved 50+ shows pays a bonus.
- ›The setlist never reaches your browser until your ballot is in - a show you can't identify is a show you can't look up. When the year is on screen, the picker only offers songs that existed by then. When the year is the secret, it offers everything, because a list that stops in 1989 would give the year away.
Sandwiches
July 27th, 2026- ›New setlist label: the sandwich. A song plays, something else plays, then that first song comes back - Tweezer, Sand, Down with Disease, Tweezer is a Tweezer sandwich. The label says how many songs deep the filling is, and it lands the moment the second slice does.
- ›It reads the archive to tell you how rare one is. Saturday's show had a Down with Disease sandwich wrapped around a Tweezer, the 13th on record and the first since July 19th, 2025. Tweezer has been the bread 39 times; Ghost only 4.
- ›A song that already earned a Tweezerfest doesn't also get called a sandwich - one label per story. Back-to-back repeats aren't sandwiches either, and neither is a song bookending a setbreak.
- ›New on every show page: (Surrender to the) Flow of the night, a line of every song's length in play order with the setbreaks marked. Tap any point to go to that song. It appears once the tapes land on phish.in, usually the next morning.
- ›Repeated songs finally read their own length. We had been showing the first version's time for every later one, so all six Tweezers on 7/25 said 17:51 - they were really 17:51, 3:56, 4:15, 2:27, 6:25 and 11:21.
- ›Three more show-page charts, breaking the night's songbook down: when each song debuted, how long it had been shelved, and whose songbook it came from. Saturday drew 13 Phish originals plus AC/DC, Prince and the Beatles, and four of the sixteen songs were 51+ show bustouts.
Tweezerfest, and trophies with better names
July 26th, 2026- ›Tweezerfest: when one song takes over a set, the setlist says so. The label appears on the fourth play and keeps counting - nobody knows how many are coming. Last night's six-Tweezer second set was the third Tweezerfest on record and the deepest one ever played.
- ›Trophies renamed: Night Winner is now First Tube, Back to Back is Winner Reprise, Redemption Arc is Two Versions of Me, and Always the Bridesmaid is NO2 - which now takes one second-place night instead of three, because being runner-up already hurts enough.
- ›Two new points clubs to chase: Make an Escape When It Arrives at 555 career points, and Also Sprach Zarathustra at 2001. Nobody is close to the second one. That's the idea.
- ›Hidden trophies: a new shelf with red frames instead of gold, and you are not told what they are. They find you. Thirteen of them exist now, and the way you earn one is almost never something to be proud of. An unclaimed one shows as a locked red frame with no name - earning it is what reveals it.
- ›Two more to chase in daylight: Seven Below for seven hits in one show, and Baker's Dozen for thirteen career wins. Nobody has the donut yet.
- ›The run standings know how long a run actually is - a five-night MSG stand reads "3 of 5 nights", not "3 of 3". The same fix taught My Picks that a night off is still part of the run, so the "already played this run" warning no longer forgets everything before the off night.
- ›The chat box got wider on every screen and much taller on desktop - about two thirds more conversation on screen at once.
Trophy shop renovations
July 19th, 2026- ›Renames with better taste: the perfect ballot is now Icculus (perfect knowledge), the single-night points club is the 46 Days Club and takes 46 to enter, and the zero-hit ballot is Got a Blank Space.
- ›One new trophy: Estimated Prophet, for more than ten career bustout hits. Nobody has it yet. You can see the storms coming.
- ›The Board grew a trophy shelf: when a night gets scored, everyone who earned new hardware shows up in a Tonight's Trophy Case panel right on the board - draggable like everything else there.
- ›New Trophy Case tab: every trophy in the game and who owns it, avatars and all. The empty shelves are the ones worth chasing - four trophies have never been claimed.
- ›The trophy bell finally rings for real: 161 trophies earned across the season just landed in everyone's case in one shot. Check your bell.
- ›Simpler by request: the drag-to-rearrange handles are gone from the Board, Home, Tour, Season, and Crowd - pages have one sensible order again, and the only thing that drags is your ten songs on My Picks. Tonight's trophy case now closes out the Board at the bottom of the page.
- ›Nightly prop bets: a few yes/no questions posted before each show - over/under on the song count, will-they-play-it, bustout tonight - answered in one tap on the home page. Answers lock with the show, the setlist settles the scoreable ones automatically, and the tallies reveal after lock.
- ›Run standings: when Phish parks at a venue for multiple nights, Season grows a separate leaderboard for just that run - a fresh race inside the season, built for the MSG residency. It appears once two nights of a stand are scored.
- ›The nav got roomier: Tour, Songs, Shows, Venues, and Band Stats now live under one "Band" tab that unfolds beneath the strip - about half as much sideways scrolling on a phone.
The scribe's notes come home
July 18th, 2026- ›The home setlist now carries phish.net's own notes below the encore, just like the source: the scribes' per-song footnotes join our stat footnotes in one numbered list, and the setlist-notes story (the lyric changes, the teases, the megaphone incidents) reads in full under the card.
- ›Eight new trophies hit the case: Curtain Call (two encore hits in one night), Second Set Psychic (called the set 2 opener), Sharpshooter (five hits in a show), 250 Club, Back to Back (consecutive wins), Always the Bridesmaid (three silvers), Redemption Arc (dead last to podium), and The Whiff (zero hits on a full ballot - wear it proudly). Already-earned ones land with a bell ring after the next show is scored.
- ›My Stats and your profile are one page now: "My Profile" sits right next to Home in the nav, with your handle, avatar, record, trends, contrarian index, and trophy case all in one place. Old /stats links redirect.
- ›Crowd consensus on My Picks is sealed until the show starts. Too many ballots were leaning on the room's picks - make your own call. The moment song one drops it reveals, and it still stays up afterward as the post-game record.
- ›Phish Picks is on Instagram - @phishpicks, link on the home page. Show cards and stat cards, fresh every morning after.
You, on your own page
July 17th, 2026- ›Click your handle in the header and you land on your profile: change your name (the board, standings, and new Rail messages pick it up instantly), and pick an avatar emoji that rides with your name everywhere.
- ›Every player has a public page now - click any name on the board, the standings, or the Rail to see their career points, best night, and trophy case. Your profile links to yours so you can see what everyone else sees.
- ›Season standings now show each player's average points per show beside their total - the fair lens on anyone who missed a night.
- ›Avatars go photographic: upload a picture on your profile and it rides with your name on the board, the Rail, and your public page - shrunk to a tidy circle, no 5MB selfies clogging the grid. The emoji set stays as the no-photo option.
- ›The Board's drag handles spread to the rest of the site: Home, Tour, Season, and Crowd sections are all yours to rearrange now. Grab a handle, stack the page your way, and it stays that way on your device - every page starts exactly where it is today until you move something.
Footnotes and the tour ledger
July 16th, 2026- ›The official setlist grew footnotes: when a song does something historic, a little number appears beside it and the receipts print under the card - longest version ever recorded, longest in X years, one of the five longest, a 30+ minute jam, double its usual length, longest of the tour, the 300th career performance, a debut anniversary to the day, a first ever at that venue, a first-ever opener or encore, and consecutive-show 30-minute-jam streaks. Length notes appear once phish.in posts the recording, usually the next morning; history notes can land live.
- ›New Tour tab: the current run at a glance - every repeat and how often, the longest jams so far (tap a time to listen), the biggest bustouts, any debuts, and every stop on the run.
- ›The classic board no longer scrolls sideways inside its own box. It pages by however many player columns genuinely fit your screen - six on a desktop, two or three on a phone - and the ‹ › arrows do the rest.
- ›Footnotes got slot-savvy: first time a song has ever closed a set, first time it's ever landed in Set 2, and decade-plus slot droughts like "First time David Bowie has opened a show since June 24th, 2010 - 16 years." That one's real, from Savannah night one.
- ›Stat footnotes now show on the show pages for the current tour too, numbered right alongside the phish.net scribes' notes.
- ›The "played so far" card links straight to the new Tour tab, and the whole site got a speed pass - pages that lean on the full show archive stopped re-downloading it on every visit.
- ›A second review pass swept the site for copy and phone ergonomics: the drag handle on the board, the sign-out button, and the pick arrows are all real tap targets now, the song search stopped making iPhones zoom in on every tap, Tour spells out what a bustout number means ("190 shows away" instead of "gap 190"), and nothing says "1 hits" anymore. Recap, Wrapped, Privacy and Terms are all reachable again without hunting.
- ›Archive pages got a lot lighter: opening a show from the '90s used to drag in three whole years of setlists just to find the previous and next show, and old hiatus-era pages walked through years one at a time to find their neighbors. Now they pull only what they actually read, and the arrows jump straight across the 2000-02 hiatus and the 2004-09 breakup.
- ›Email reminders are opt-in now: new accounts start with them off, and the switch on the home page turns them on whenever you want a show-day nudge. If you're already getting reminders, nothing changes - you keep them until you say otherwise.
- ›The CHALK bot has left the building. Season standings are players only now - no ghost in the rankings, no robot to measure yourself against. The crowd's most-picked songs still live on the Crowd and Recap pages, where they belong.
- ›A deep multi-agent review swept the whole site and its findings got fixed: open boards now pick up scribe corrections live (renamed songs, moved set labels, fixed gaps), a stacked-ballot scoring exploit is closed, show pages no longer freeze tonight's setlist after 8pm Eastern, Night Winner trophies count Type II call bonuses like the board does, and a pile of smaller correctness and speed fixes underneath.
Your board, your way
July 11th, 2026- ›Make the board yours: grab the little grip on the Rail, the scores, or the setlist cards and drag any of them into whatever vertical order you like. Your layout sticks on this device, and it starts exactly where it is today.
- ›Admins and setlist crew get a floating quick-add button while a show is live - it stays in the corner of the screen, and tapping it flies out a catalog search that logs a song to the setlist on the spot.
- ›The manual setlist editor autocompletes now, with the same live-gap search as My Picks.
The room where it happens
July 9th, 2026- ›Phish Picks has a Discord now - the "Join the Discord" pill on the home page gets you in. Show-night chat, picks talk, and gloating, all in one room.
- ›The Board dressed up for its role as the main event: a proper marquee header with the show billing, venue, and a live status chip.
- ›The nav now draws a line between your game (Home through Groups) and the band (Songs, Shows, Venues, Band Stats).
- ›Set II Vision no longer strobes the scrollbar. The visuals remain unexplained.
- ›Press Ctrl+K (or tap the search icon up top) to jump to any song, show, venue, or page from anywhere on the site.
- ›"On this day" on the home page: every show Phish has played on today's date, one click from its setlist.
- ›Season Wrapped: your year in big type - points, best night, the song you kept believing in, and where you stand. It stays sealed until the last show of the year is in the books.
- ›The Board now shows live win probability during shows - the % beside each place is a simulated chance to take the night, updating as songs drop.
- ›The trophy case doubled: Night Winner, Hat Trick, Podium Regular, Slot Machine, Full House, Century Club, Deep Cut, and Heater join the original seven.
- ›A bell now sits by your username - when a show gets scored and you've earned a new trophy, it rings.
- ›Type II payouts rebalanced: opener stays +5, encore is now +3, and the bustout call pays +7 (down from +15). Applies to shows scored from here on; past results keep the points they earned.
- ›Two legendary trophies: Poster Nutbag for calling Harpua, Read the Book for calling Icculus. Good luck.
- ›Set II Vision is now, correctly, the second set: the old button is Set I Vision, and the new Set II goes deeper. We're still not explaining either one.
- ›Community polls: when there's a question on the table, a poll card shows on the home page for signed-in players. One vote each, votes are final, and results show live once you've weighed in.
- ›Setlists you can hear: once phish.in's tapers upload a show, every song grows a duration link straight to the recording, and the card gains a "Relive it" button for the full show. Jam lengths at a glance, audio one tap away.
- ›Song pages now rank the longest versions ever recorded - tap a time to listen. Yes, the 50-minute Mud Island Tweezer is where you think it is.
- ›"On this day" shows its receipts: a headphone badge with total runtime on every date that has a recording.
- ›Less refreshing, more happening: announcements, polls, trophy dings, and show-status changes now land on your open tab by themselves. Poll results tick along live while you watch.
- ›The Board grew a rail: live chat under the grid, per show. Trash talk lands instantly, boasts are timestamped for the record, and yes, the chat from a past board stays readable forever.
- ›Countdowns now say the showtime out loud with its timezone - "7:30 PM EDT" - because Indiana fooled at least one of us this week.
- ›Shows score themselves faster: about 35 minutes after the encore goes quiet, the night finalizes on its own - scores, standings, and trophies included.
- ›Song pages and tour intel now count each song once per show, so a stray duplicate row upstream can't double-list a performance or fake a repeat.
- ›The Curtain With: the "With" itself lights up violet when the full version lands. Plain The Curtain is just a song now - no tag, no tease.
Show-night polish
July 8th, 2026- ›Browser tabs now say where you are - "Phish Picks - Home", "Phish Picks - Board", and so on.
- ›New Setlist Assist role: trusted helpers can fix the live setlist (and nothing else). Admins grant it from the roster.
- ›Setlist corrections now reach every open browser instantly - no more refreshing to see a fixed set label.
- ›When phish.net corrects a set marker or song name after the fact, the board now picks up the fix automatically on the next poll.
- ›Two people editing the setlist at once can't double-book a song, and back-to-back repeats are rejected (Phish never plays a song twice in a row).
- ›Admins can fix a song's set with a two-click dropdown right on the setlist.
- ›Finalize & score now asks if you're really, truly, absolutely sure.
- ›The Board now shows everyone's Type II calls once picks lock - who called which opener, encore, and bustout, and which calls paid out.
- ›Player names stay pinned to the top of the Board while you scroll on your phone.
- ›Showtimes now come straight from phish.com's tour pages automatically - a 7:00 start counts down to 7:00, a 7:30 to 7:30.
- ›"Next show" is judged by the venue's own clock, so browsing after midnight Eastern can't skip tomorrow's show.
- ›My Picks: click any empty slot to fill it directly - no more scrolling back to the search bar.
- ›The Board remembers last night: a podium strip up top links to the full previous board without crowding tonight's.
- ›Hit colors now show the standings at a glance: green when you're leading, fading through yellow to red at the bottom of the board.
- ›Every player wears their place above their name once picks lock - 1st, T-2nd, and so on.
- ›Big boards now page six players at a time with Prev/Next, so every column is reachable.
- ›Only players who locked in picks appear on the board - no more empty gray columns.
- ›New board view: "We've got it simple" collapses the grid to a clean name-and-score list. "Classic" brings the picks back.
- ›The home page now lists every show played on the current tour under the setlist. Click a past stop and its setlist swaps into the card - blue border means you're looking back, and "back to latest" returns you to the newest show.
- ›Shows tab filters: one tap pulls up every summer/fall/winter/spring tour, the Baker's Dozen, New Year's runs, Phish festivals, or festival guest sets like Bonnaroo - and they stack with the search box.
- ›Every tab is visible without an account now - and the Board shows visitors the live public game, read-only, so they can see what they're missing.
- ›There's a new button on the home page called "Set II Vision". We're not going to explain it. Click it.
- ›Recency labels reset every tour: "Hot off the stage" and the repeat warnings on My Picks now only count shows from the current tour, so a tour opener starts everyone with a clean slate.
- ›No time to finish your ten? "Save & pick back up later" on My Picks parks a draft on your device and restores it next visit. Drafts don't count as submitted - lock in before the first song.
- ›Between shows, the Board keeps last night's results up instead of an empty grid - an "Up next" strip tracks the coming show, and the board flips over by itself the moment the first song drops.
Showtime
July 7th, 2026- ›Live countdown to showtime on the home page - weeks out it counts days, on show day it ticks by the second, and in the last hour it admits the band walks out whenever they feel like it.
- ›Per-show start times: the countdown and reminder emails now use the listed start (7:00, 8:30, whatever phish.com says) instead of assuming 7:30.
- ›Setlists update within ~2 minutes all show long, and the board locks fast when the opener drops - no sneaking picks in from the couch stream.
- ›The home page reorders on show nights: live setlist first, your boards right below it.
- ›Admins can manually edit the setlist when phish.net lags.
- ›Harpua and Icculus now glow when they land in a setlist. You'll know why when you see it.
- ›Bustouts come in tiers now: 50+ shows is a bustout, 500+ is a MAJOR bustout, 1000+ is an EPIC bustout.
- ›The logo dresses up for US holidays - lights at Christmas, a spooky flicker on Halloween, balloons for the NYE run.
- ›A proper 404 page. Go mistype a URL, it's worth it.
Sharing and searching
July 6th, 2026- ›Texting a show or song link now unfurls into a real preview - the setlist card for shows, the stat card for songs.
- ›Search the Shows tab across every show since 1983 - venue, city, or date fragments like "12/31 msg".
- ›New Venues tab: every room Phish has played, with per-venue history, bustouts, and debuts.
- ›Song pages: click any set bar for its history, any stat card to jump somewhere useful.
The archive opens
July 5th, 2026- ›New Shows tab: browse every Phish show ever, year by year, with full setlists, rarity scores, jam-chart notes, and run detection.
- ›Songs, Shows, Venues, and Band Stats are open to everyone - no account needed to browse.
- ›Dates read like dates now: July 5th, 2026 instead of 2026-07-05.
