Jam chart entries
Taste

Played during a thunder and lightning storm of Biblical proportion that prematurely ended Set I, you can hear the thunder crackling in the background. Clearly the storm electrified the band, and if you are a Page fan, this is a must-hear, incredibly intense version.

Down with Disease

Multi-part, heavy duty funk jam -> "Mike's Song."

Mike's Song

This single jam version breaks into a thick soupy funk groove right off the bat, with lots of good variation. At 8:20, there's some shifting of instrumental sounds, but the basic grooves stays intact. Then at 10:45 the jam breaks into a new, completely different and exploratory section with a threatening, semi-evil tone. The abrubt switch back to "Mike's" is a bit forced, but all in all, that's trivial nit picking.

Versions phish.net's jam charts single out as noteworthy.

Soundcheck

Limb By Limb (x3), Vultures, Water in the Sky, Saw It Again (first verse only)

Setlist notes

The first set of this show was performed during a furious lightning storm; during Taste, the band even jammed along with the thunder and lightning. Mother (Pink Floyd) was teased by Trey in Bye Bye Foot. Down with Disease was unfinished. Weekapaug also included a Hydrogen tease from Trey and closed with a Can’t You Hear Me Knocking tease. This show is also available on DVD from Phish Dry Goods.
