Jam chart entries
David Bowie

Haunting, ghoulish and riveting version that includes a long intro. Fish kicks ass! Maybe not as exploratory as the summer '95s, but it compensates with twisted psychological tone.

Taste That Surrounds

More of a full band jam, as the separation between Page's solo and Trey's was not clear at this stage.

Scent of a Mule

Vocal and guitar response by Trey is hilarious and wild. Page responds back with another long and dramatic solo; the klezmer, and more weird chanting from Mike.

Harry Hood

A good mix of quieter playing leads to anticipation as the build develops, then the peak delivers a celebratory release.

Versions phish.net's jam charts single out as noteworthy.

Dog Log, The Wedge, work on Theme From the Bottom, Funky Bitch, Poor Heart

Setlist notes

My Friend did not contain the "Myfe" ending. Prince Caspian was preceded by Trey discussing how Portland was supposed to be Elvis’s last show so this song was for his kid, the prince. Reba did not have the whistling ending. The Dog Logs were part of Trey’s announced “Dog Log” album and were preceded by Trey coaching the audience’s reaction. Dog Log had not been played since August 2, 1993 (219 shows). Tube was played as a thank-you for helping out with the “album.” Funky Bitch and WMGGW featured Warren Haynes on guitar.
